CONCERT & TEACHING TOUR OF PHILIPPINES

WHAT:  Emily Duffill visited the Philippines for 2 weeks to teach and perform as part of Omnilogy Inc. “Bridging The Gap” Festival.

WHAT:  She gave masterclasses, workshops and concerts at Cebu Normal University, Le Caio De Cagayan University, University of the Philippines and for the Friends of the Cultural Concerns of the Philippines in Manila.

Emily was honored to perform with Dr. Kaju Lee – specialist in collaborative piano, Rudolf Golez – international concert pianist and Gideon Benedictus – renowned tenor and choir director.

WHEN: July 2-17

WHY: To promote cultural unity through music as well as the right of the individual to excel beyond their limitations.

“Cellist and piano remarkably interacted in Rachmaninoff’s Vocalise, Beethoven’s Sonata No.3, Mendelssohn’s Leid Ohne Worte and Debussy’s Sonata for Cello & Piano…Duffill’s long sinuous, resonant tones reflected the exquisite lyricism of both pieces as she demonstrated impressive technical skill and sensitive artistry….”
